Who we are

This site is published by Genspect, The Steps, O'Connell Street, Birr, County Offaly, Ireland, which acts as data controller. Because the site is aimed at readers in the United Kingdom, we apply the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 as well as the EU GDPR. Email: [email protected].

What we collect

Through the contact form: your name, email address, optionally an organisation, and your message. We use them only to reply. Messages are stored by our hosting platform and forwarded to Genspect by email, then deleted within twelve months of the last exchange.

Through ordinary web traffic: server logs including IP addresses, kept briefly for security and fault-finding. We do not profile visitors.

YouTube

Episode pages embed the YouTube player. Playing a video sends your IP address to Google, which may set cookies under its own privacy policy. A plain link to the video on youtube.com is provided on every episode page for those who prefer not to load the player.

What we do not do

No analytics service, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no sharing or sale of personal data.

Lawful basis

Our legitimate interests in answering correspondence and keeping the site secure, under Article 6(1)(f).

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold, object to processing, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK or the Data Protection Commission in Ireland. Write to [email protected]; we respond within one month.
